Who is The Struth?

My name is Struan Robertson. I am the Elementary Vice-Principal at the International School Bangkok in Thailand. This blog was inspired by my participation in the Learning 2.0 Conference in Shanghai, China. At the conference were the leading minds in the education, but more importantly, leading minds in enhancing student learning through the use of TECHNOLOGY. I was inspired and excited. My goal is to change the world of education. To challenge the long held beliefs that Technology is a fad in education, that students today are not wired differently- that they are digital natives. Education has been stagnant for too long. We need to shake things up!

For now, I will settle for writing a blog and working to improve the daily learning of our students at ISB through the use of technology. I will continue to read books like The World Is Flat, Blink, The Tipping Point, The Long Tail, Intellectual Character, Habits of Mind, The Google Story and many more. I will continue working and collaborating closely with our amazing Elementary leadership team at ISB to  question and wonder, how can we change education to make it more meaningful and engaging for our digital children. For the future, I will be a digital native so I can help guide my own 3 children on their journey. Buckle up!
